Let Meta's Muse find your Instagram leads

Muse is Meta's new personal AI agent. It does tasks for you across the apps you connect, and you can message it in its own app or in WhatsApp. Ask it to go through this week's Instagram messages, pull out everyone asking about price or booking, and draft a reply to each one. You read the drafts and send the ones you like.

The steps

Turn your DMs into a lead list

  1. Open Muse. Get the Muse app on iPhone or Android, or go to muse.ai in your browser, and sign in with your Meta account. Muse is for people 18 and over in the US and Canada.
  2. Check that Instagram is connected. In Muse, go to Settings > Connectors. Instagram connects on its own if your Instagram account is in the same Accounts Center as your Meta account. Look for Instagram messages in the list too. If you don't see it, ask Muse: Can you read my Instagram messages?
  3. Tell Muse to ask before it acts. Go to Settings > Permissions and set Connectors to Ask for some actions. Muse then checks with you before it sends anything.
  4. Paste the prompt below. Read each draft, fix anything that's off, and send the replies yourself.

Go through my Instagram DMs from this week. Find everyone asking about pricing, booking or availability. For each one, give me their name, what they asked and the date, then draft a friendly reply in my voice. Don't send anything.

Before you connect

  • Muse works in its own secure space in the cloud, which Meta calls Muse Secure VM. Your connected data stays there.
  • Muse treats reading and sending differently. Reading your messages is a read action. Sending a reply is a write action, and with Ask for some actions on, Muse asks you first.
  • You can disconnect Instagram or change what Muse can do at any time in Settings.
Questions people ask

Quick answers

What is Meta Muse?

Muse is Meta's personal AI agent, launched on September 8, 2026. It does tasks for you across the apps you connect, like reading email or filling out forms, and asks before sensitive actions. You can use it in the Muse app on iPhone and Android, at muse.ai, or by messaging it in WhatsApp.

Who can use Meta Muse?

People 18 and over in the US and Canada. Meta launched it in the US first, then added Canada. Muse is free for most of what people need, and Meta offers paid plans if you want to do more.

How do I connect Instagram to Muse?

Instagram connects automatically if your Instagram account is in the same Accounts Center as the Meta account you use for Muse. To check, open Muse and go to Settings > Connectors. You can also connect a service by asking Muse in a chat.

Will Muse send messages without asking me?

Not if you tell it to ask. In Settings > Permissions, set Connectors to Ask for some actions and Muse asks before every write action, like sending a message. When it asks, you can allow it once, allow it for the task, always allow it, or deny it. Add Don't send anything to your prompt as well.

Teach Muse your prices (paste once)
Remember this for when you draft replies to people who message me about my business.

What I offer:
[Service 1]: [price], [what's included]
[Service 2]: [price], [what's included]

How to book: [your booking link or how people book]
When I'm available: [days and hours]
What I don't do: [work you turn down]

When you draft a reply, only quote prices from this list. If someone asks about something that isn't on it, say I'll get back to them and flag it for me. Keep replies short and friendly. Sign off as [your name].
The weekly lead check
Every Monday at 9 a.m., go through my Instagram DMs from the past 7 days. Find everyone asking about pricing, booking or availability that I haven't replied to yet. Give me a list with their name, what they asked and the date, oldest first. Draft a reply to each one using my prices and booking link. Don't send anything. Flag anyone who has messaged me more than once.

Run the first prompt in a chat before you set up the weekly check. If Muse won't schedule it for you, save the prompt and run it yourself every Monday morning. Then open Settings > Permissions to see the scheduled task and the approvals it has. Check the first few drafts against your price list before you send them.
